MLB 2K11 joystick problems?

I am using a Logitech Dual action joystick on MLB2k11. But when pitching, when I start to select a pitch with the buttons it goes straight into the gesture, and you cannot control it with the right analog stick. You can only control the pitch with the actual button you selected the pitch with. I used this joystick with MLB2k10, and I never had any problems. It appears to be set up correctly in the controller configurations. Please help !
