Why do people hate emos?

So I've been considered emo because well I guess I am...I don't act like what people usually thing emos act like, but that's just what people call me so whatever. And my best friend is a so called "emo." We get so much crap it's not even funny! I can't walk down the friggin hall without being teased or laughed at or pushed. Why though?? I'm quiet, I'm a girl and guys bully me too. It just makes them look stupid but everyone else thinks their cool. I'M SICK OF IT. I want to know why people hate us, what the heck did we do to you???!!! XP
