Help! im getting eaten alive!?

well i told my husband i didnt want to move to this shi&&y apt and he chose to move us there anyway. well i first noticed we had a problem when i was holding my cat and saw a flea on my arm..she was strictly indoors so clearly it was the apartment. So i have since found a new home for my cat but i am now getting friggin eaten by these fleas. They're rampant. I've heard that its easiest to get rid of them if you have a pet b/c the flea medicine basically makes them into a walking flea killer, so i was wondering if that was true. Might expedite my efforts to find a new furry friend if it is. Also, someone please please tell me how to get rid of these little fu(k3rs bc im sick SICK of them
